What’s on offer

We are looking for friendly, experienced, maintenance manager to assist with the delivery of services at our nursing facility, and independent living units. The position is based in Mortlake, Victoria with a vehicle and tools provided. The ideal candidate will be an all-rounder and will coordinate our maintenance team of two. This role will oversee and coordinate the repairs and preventative maintenance operations at Aberlea. This includes:

  • Overseeing proactive maintenance programs including seasonal activities
  • Oversight external home maintenance program
  • Coordinating basic repairs
  • Coordinating contractors to assist with delivery of larger works
  • Ensuring our repairs and maintenance programs comply with the Aged Care Standards
  • Providing practical guidance for strategic investments such as solar power generation

There are some on call and out of hours work that applies to this role.

The position

Our ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent leadership and delegation skills
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in general maintenance roles
  • Manual Victorian Drivers License
  • Experience managing budgets and contractors
  • Computer literacy skills including the use of Microsoft Office
  • Reliable, flexible and team orientated

This role also requires a valid Police Check and valid NDIS Check.
